Women Are Boycotting Ivanka Trump's Clothing Line. @ 3:16 pm

With the presidential election just two weeks away, critics of Donald Trump have taken on a new target: Trump's daughter Ivanka.
The Twitter hashtag #GrabYourWallet calls on retail giants including Macy's, Nordstrom and Amazon to stop carrying Ivanka Trump's clothing and accessories.
Technology and media marketing specialist Shannon Coulter created the hashtag on October 11th, soon after a 2005 tape emerged of Donald Trump boasting about his lewd treatment of women. Coulter says she's troubled by the fact Ivanka has failed to denounce the Republican nominee following a spate of sexual assault claims.
Boycotting Ivanka Trump
“If Ivanka Trump had distanced herself from the campaign I would not be boycotting her," Coulter tells The Guardian. "But something changed for me when that tape was released."
Coulter is now receiving 200 direct replies on Twitter per day and hundreds of retweets, according to The Guardian.
Some have questioned whether it's fair to blame Ivanka Trump for her father's alleged misbehavior.
"UNFAIR. Ivanka isn't running for President, loves her dad and [her] fashion line shouldn't come into it," writes Twitter user @bizzygirl1.
"Feminists support strong independant [sic] women…Unless their last name is Trump," weighs in @Toxic_Fem.
But Coulter points out that Ivanka has actively campaigned for her father, and can be held accountable for her public support of him. And since her brand has enjoyed massive exposure due to her father's public profile and candidacy, it's only fair that the businesswoman should also expect some consumers to avoid her brand on political grounds.
Burlington Coat Factory, DSW, and Neiman Marcus are just a few of the brands named in a name-and-shame Google document publicly shared by Coulter. (The document also includes a script that concerned consumers can read from, should they wish to call one of the listed companies to voice their opinion.)
Ivanka Trump already seems to have quietly scaled back on her vocal support of her dad, as Heatstreet points out. She hasn't used her social media presence to promote her father's candidacy for months. But if the popularity of the #GrabYourWallet hashtag is anything to go by, it's time for Ivanka to actively speak out about her father's alleged sex assault.
Otherwise, women may just vote with their wallets.
