Jim Broadbent


Jim Broadbent joined the Harry Potter film franchise in 2009, appearing in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as Professor Horace Slughorn, and returning to the role of Tom Riddle’s former teacher for 2011’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Last month, EW broke the news that Broadbent has booked a new gig on Game of Thrones. The British actor will appear in the show’s seventh season in a “significant” role with few other public details currently available.


Michelle Fairley


One year before she took on the role of Game of Thrones' Catelyn Stark, Michelle Fairley was making a brief but emotional appearance in a Harry Potter movie. The actress signed on to play Hermione's mother, Mrs. Granger, in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.


David Bradley


David Bradley had a major role in the Harry Potter films, playing Hogwarts caretaker and cat enthusiast Argus Filch in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. The same year that the final movie hit theaters, Bradley landed a gig as Game of Thrones' head of House Frey, Walder Frey.


Natalia Tena


Natalia Tena plays wildling Osha in Game of Thrones, first hitting the HBO show in 2011. She picked up four Harry Potter credits before her small-screen turn, playing the Auror and wife to Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows parts 1 and 2.



Ralph Ineson


Game of Thrones fans know Ralph Ineson as the ironborn Dagmer Cleftjaw, a role he played for five episodes in 2012. A few years earlier, Ineson was gaining traction for another role: Harry Potter's Amycus Carrow. The actor played the Death Eater in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.



Ciaran Hinds


Ciaran Hinds popped up in the final Harry Potter movie, playing Albus Dumbledore's brother, Aberforth Dumbledore, in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Two years later, he joined Game of Thrones as Free Folk leader Mance Rayder.



Freddie Stroma


Freddie Stroma had a memorable turn in Harry Potter as Cormac McLaggen, playing the Gryffindor student in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Earlier this year, Stroma popped up in one season 6 episode of Game of Thrones, bringing Samwell Tarly's brother, Dickon Tarly, to the small screen.



Julian Glover


Julian Glover brought the massive spider Aragog to life in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, lending his voice to the Acromantula. He then stepped in front of the camera for Game of Thrones, signing on to play Grand Maester Pycelle.



Bronson Webb


Bronson Webb found his spot in the Harry Potter movies as a Slytherin student. He played the lackey to the crew of Draco Malfoy, Vincent Crabbe, and Gregory Goyle in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Webb went on to appear in one 2011 episode of Game of Thrones as Night's Watch ranger Will.



Nicholas Blane


Before playing Game of Thrones' Spice King, Nicholas Blane was Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix's Bob, a Ministry of Magic employee.
