Officials acting on a tip-off have found nearly 100 cats, living and dead, in a New Jersey couple's apartment. Some of the felines were found living in the walls at the small condominium in Woodbridge. Hazmat crews and animal control officers were called as the home was covered in faeces, urine and refuse.Officials have so far removed 35 living cats and seven dead ones from the property, reports CBS New York. The couple who live there, Richard and June Dennis, told the news station the situation "did become out of control".Mr Dennis said: "I was just going crazy taking care of them. "I'm in foreclosure, bankruptcy, all my money is spent on cat food." It is unclear if the Dennises will face any criminal charges.
