One person wasn’t unlucky Friday, May 13, as one jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket worth $1.4 million was purchased at a Quick Stop on Liberty Avenue. The ticket correctly matched all five b*lls drawn, 6, 15, 30, 34, and 42, to win $1.4 million, less applicable taxes. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket. Friday’s jackpot was the largest since the Oct. 3 2015 drawing, in which a $1.8 million jackpot was shared between three winning ticket holders.

The largest Cash 5 jackpot on record is a $1.9 million prize in February 2013, which was shared between two winning tickets. Cash 5 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes.Prizes must be claimed and tickets validated before winners can be identified. The holder of any jackpot-winning ticket should immediately sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery and file a claim at any of Lottery’s seven area offices or at the lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County. Claims can be filed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at area offices and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at headquarters.
