A popular television personality and her two teenage sons have died after a brutal knife attack, police said. Stacy Fawcett was a food reporter on morning news show Daybreak on Channel 8 and became known as 'Dallas' Favourite Foodie'. The 45-year-old and her son, 17-year-old Josiah Utu, were found murdered at their home 20 miles north of Dallas, Texas, on April 8. Her other son, McCann Utu Jr, 19, is believed to have killed himself after the attack.

The Plano Police Department confirmed to People magazine that Stacy and her youngest son suffered fatal stab wounds on Friday when they were attacked by the teen, before he turned the knife on himself. After the incident, a male called 911 to report the crime and officers "made entry into the residence and discovered a deceased adult male and adult female along with another adult male who was alive with multiple stab wounds." McCann died in hospital a short time later.

In a statement to News 8, the boys' father McCann Utu Jr said: "I'm in so much pain and need to grieve for my boys and Stacy right now. "God will use my pain to help and save other that are going through mental illness and concussion." Since the mother and sons' deaths a GoFundMe page set up to raise money for their funerals has already surpassed its target of $20,000.

A note on the page read: "Any unused funds will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank in Stacy's name and memory as feeding those in need has always been her life's work."
